Nilai Sepuluh Bagi Tina
“Tina, cewek berusia 17 tahun, Ia ramah, dan selalu menebar senyum ceriahnya. Tapi, Tina adalah seorang penderita “cerebral palsy”, sejenis kelainan tubuh, dimana beberapa bagian otot-otot tubuhnya kaku dan lumpuh. Karena kelainan ini pula, ia mengalami kesulitan untuk berbicara. Ia harus menggunakan alat bantu untuk menerobos hiruk-pikunya lorong sekolah.
Orang-orang agak enggan berbicara dengannya, mengapa ? Entahlah, mungkin karena ia kelihatan ‘berbeda’ dan siswa-siswa tidak tahu atau canggung untuk mendekatinya. Tetapi Tina adalah orang yang ramah. Ia tidak pernah bosan berkata “Hai” dengan orang-orang yang ditemuinya di lorong.
Kindness
“One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal, he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry and so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, “How much do I owe you?”
Matahari dan Bulan
“Zaman dahulu kala, ada dua matahari dan sungguh sangat panas. Kedua matahari tersebut bertugas secara bergiliran, di saat matahari yang satu bersinar, yang lainnya tidur. Begitu juga sebaliknya.
Semua mahkluk di bumi sangat mengeluh tentang rasa panas dari kedua matahari ini.

“Long ago, the world was not a safe place; monsters dominated the world. There was one horrifying monster that came out on the same day each year to eat people. This monster was named Nian, and the people marked the end of a year by his visits to the human civilization. That is where the Chinese word for year came from.
This monster was the most feared by the people because every time it came out, whole villages would be destroyed at a time.

“Barack Obama lahir di Honolulu, Hawaii, dari pasangan Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., seorang Kenya – dan Ann Dunham, seorang Amerika Serikat. Keduanya berpisah ketika Obama berusia dua tahun dan akhirnya bercerai. Ayah Obama kembali ke Kenya dan meninggal dalam sebuah kecelakaan lalu lintas tahun 1982.
Love Stung ?
“There was this Hindu who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.
A man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him.
But the Hindu said: “It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?”
